He was predeceased by: his parents, Callie Mae Whitley and David Clarence Sanderford; and his siblings, Starling, Curtis, Lloyd Sanderford, Eleanor Phipps, Evelyn Hodge and Callie Joe Johnson Tant.
He is survived by: his significant other Eldora Allen Jones of Wendell; his son David Scott Sanderford; his sisters, Fay Jones (Dick) and Kay Gresham; his stepbrother Aaron Johnson of Wendell; and also Linda Allard Fisher of Charleston. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
