With heavy hearts, we announce the death of DeWitt Byrd Jr. (Wendell, North Carolina), who passed away on January 30, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, DeWitt Byrd, Sr. and Nellie Lee Byrd; and his grandson Jonathon Freeman. He is survived by: his wife June Anderson Byrd; his children, Teresa B. Freeman (Johnny), Randy Byrd (Carmen) and Angie B. Mitchell (Jeff); his grandchildren, Randi Byrd, Kelly Simmons (David), Reagan Byrd and Justin Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Breanna Simmons, Bailey Simmons and Bristol Simmons; and his sisters, Betty Wallen, Becky Morton and Janie Perry (Marvin).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church Building Fund.
