She was predeceased by: her parents, Nikoly Taratuta and Mattie Eason Taratuta; her husband Thomas Elmore Rooks; her grandson Jason Thomas Johnson; and her great grandchild Wyatt Abel Johnson.
She is survived by: her daughter Connie Johnson (Harley); her grandchildren, Amber Johnson Bradshaw (Barry) and Brandon Johnson (Crystal); her great grandchildren, Caleb Johnson, Wesley Johnson and Ryan Bradshaw; and her caregiver Mary Umphrey.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to me made to McCullers Community Baptist Church, Raleigh, NC, UNC Children's Hospital in memory of Wyatt Abel Johnson, or Transitions Life Care.
