With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Calvin Havird Spann (Wendell, North Carolina), born in Batesburg, South Carolina, who passed away on January 9, 2022 at the age of 106. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Havird and Myra Price Havird; his wife Darnell P. Spann; his daughter Marilyn Christine Spann; and his siblings, May, Carrie, Lester, Jordan and Clyde.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dorothy S. Alford (John) and Judy S. Bennett (Larry); and his grandchildren, Tony, David, Kevin, Gina and Stacy. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pilot Baptist Church or The Masonic Home For Children in Oxford, NC.
