It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Kittner of Weldon, North Carolina, born in Richmond, Virginia, who passed away on December 12, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Kornblau and Berta Kornblau; her husband Harry Kittner; her brother Sam Kornblau (Helen); and her daughter-in-law Kim Kittner.
She is survived by: her friend Sarah; her close friend Harry Kittner; her children, Ben Kittner of Raleigh, Betty Kittner (Kent Dewey), Berta Kittner (Robert Levin) and Sam (Bobbi Kittner); her grandchildren, Noah Kittner, Pat Hemjan, Kaylie Kittner, Louis Levin, Sally Levin, Max Kittner and Joe Kittner; and her sisters-in-law, Lucille Kittner Frank of Portsmouth, Ida Kittner of Norfolk and Constance Kittner of Philadelphia. She is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Halifax Community College, Kittner Family Scholarship Fund; Kehillah Synagogue; UNC Kittner Eye Center; or the charity of one's choice.
