She was predeceased by: her parents, Dalma Wilson Uzzle and Margaret Lipscomb Uzzle Mims; and her brothers, Dalma "Dan" Uzzle and Granville. She is survived by: her son William Ransom Johnston, Jr. (Joan) of Raleigh; her grandchildren, William Ransom Johnston III, Margaret Ivy Johnston and Martha Luck Johnston; and her sister-in-law Patricia Uzzle of Atlanta. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
