It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Lee Twisdale of Weldon, North Carolina, born in Halifax, North Carolina, who passed away on September 13, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Wilson Daniels and Mary Etta Strickland Daniels; her husband Jess E. Jones, Sr.; and her daughter Susan Hope Twisdale. She is survived by: her sons, Ernest Bland Twisdale (Beverly) of Roanoke Rapids, Stephen Lee Twisdale (Lorna) of Roanoke Rapids and Jess E. Jones Jr. of Goldsboro; her grandsons, Jacob Bland Twisdale and Caleb Lee Snider; her great grandchild Jonah Bland Twisdale; and her sister Gwendolyn Davis (Johnny) of Scotland Neck. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
