She was predeceased by: her parents, Chauncey William and Evelyn Rainey Balding; her husband Robert L. Wilson (Slim); her son-in-law Henry Taylor; and her siblings, Hazel Suttles, Clayton and Dale Balding.
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Killough (Dennis) of Marion, Nancy Stephenson (Bill) of Garysburg, Joy Ellis (Steve) of Roanoke Rapids and Kay Tripp (David) of Weldon; her sisters, Mabel Wilson of Littleton, Cleo Lane of Winston Salem and Nina Ledford of Mars Hill; her grandchildren, Shannon Williams (Bryan), Hunter Taylor (Stephanie), Scott Killough (Jennifer), Jeremy Ellis (Terry), Britt Ellis and Jordan Tripp; and her close friends, Jeff, Paula, Ashby Burton, Angie Norman, Gloria Evans and Clara Harvey. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
