It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernelle Champion (Welcome, North Carolina), who passed away on November 14, 2018, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent George Benjamin Geary; and her daughter Tammy Gale C. Loughlin. She is survived by: her parent Annie Mae Hanford Geary; her sister Larry Wayne Champion, Sr.; and her grandchild Delores Wortham Peltola of Henderson. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
