He is survived by: his son Michael Hinkle of Tyro; his stepchildren, Jeff Hutchens (Idania) of Mint Hill and Lisa Curry (Roy) of Lexington; his siblings, Ray Hinkle (Chandra) of Welcome, Gene Hinkle of Welcome, Mary Ruth Doby of Welcome and Shirley Younts of Welcome; his grandchildren, Will Hinkle of Asheville and Lindsay Hinkle of Carrboro; and his stepgrandsons, Tyson Curry (Mary Joy) of Clover, SC, Nolan Hutchins of Mint Hill, Lucas Hutchins of Mint Hill, Dylan Thompson of Mint Hill and Logan Thompson of Mint Hill.
