She was predeceased by: her sons, Marshall Lee Coghill, Tommy Coghill and J. D. Coghill; her grandsons, Cameron Wayne Newman and Tommy Wayne Newman; and her great grandchild Drew Elwell.

She is survived by: her children, Betty Wright (Danny) of Henderson, Shelia Newman (Russell) of Henderson, Brenda Daniels (Phillip) of Arlington, TX, Peggy Moss (Mike) of Henderson and Wannie Bob Coghill (Trudy) of Apex; her grandchildren, Deales "Dee" J. Coghill, Kay Keller, Jeff Coghill, Melany Elwell, Dana Fields, Jaime Bradley, Kelly Howard, Stephanie Gillis, Brandon Daniels, Sonia Gupton and Sandy Garrett; and also, Trish Talley, Martha Stainback and Janice Boyd. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, c/o Maria Ellis, 281 Garrett Road, Henderson, NC 27537.

“Dearest Brenda, Betty, Sheila, and Peggy, I have so many fond memories that revolve around all the years of Aycock School, riding the school bus, etc. and this is truly the end of an era for me. I do remember Peggy and Marshall but not the other brothers, unfortunately. This is a very difficult transition in life to make as I recall my own just 3 years ago and it sometimes still isn't real to me. Wishing you all a time of love and togetherness. Family is everything in the end. Andrea”
