He was predeceased by: his parent Robert Milo Porterfield. He is survived by: his parent Joan Rominger Porterfield; his wife Judy Bennett Porterfield; his children, Jamie Hunt (Kathy) of Franklinton, Jill Hunt of Raleigh and Allison Hunt of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Chelsea Lea, Scott Lea, Caleb Hunt, Bennett Hunt, Zachary Crosby, Isabella Hunt and Isaiah Hunt; his sister Heather L. Porterfield of Chapel Hill; and his uncles, John E. Rominger, Jr. (Jane) of Kernersville and John C. Porterfield of Pascagoula.
