He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Daniel Ray and Nina Daniels Ray; and his son Darris Daniels of Raeford. He is survived by: his wife Laurie Nelson Woods-Daniels; his children, Kathy Smith, Patricia Mcphatter (Gary) of Raeford, Lywanna Woods of Charlotte, Terrel Gorham (Roderick) of Raleigh, Dalton Daniels of Raeford and Kwand Woods of Marshalltown, IA; and his brother-in-law Michael J. Nelson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren.
