He was predeceased by: his parents, Norfleet Hinkle and Lottie Tarlton Hinkle; his wife Betty Scott Hinkle; and his sisters, Helen Brinkley of Lexington, Mary Foster of Lexington and Alice Thomason of Lexington.
He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Smith (Danny); his grandchildren, Brooke Motsinger (Chad) and Jordan Smith; and his great grandchildren, Sy Motsinger, Harrison Motsinger, Alexandria Motsinger and Tatum Waggoner.
