She was predeceased by: her parents, Murphy M. Manly and Ruby Broadway Manly; her husband Stephen Goodyear Flannagan; her daughter Beth F. Gatewood; her sisters, Dorothy "Dottie" Tripp and Rosalie "Ig" Burnett; and her son-in-law Chip Adams.
She is survived by: her daughter Celia F. Adams; her grandchildren, Robyn Adams, Kelly G. Hudgins of Raleigh and Ben L. Gatewood of Chesapeake, VA; and her great grandchildren, Eleana Adams-Jones and Isaac Hudgins.
