He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Hester Edwards and Cornie Wells Edwards; his son Terry Limer; and his siblings, Hilda E. Stone and Joel Thomas Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Buchanan Edwards; and his children, Debbie E. Kinton (Wayne), Beth Edwards of Henderson, Mary Ellen E. Florence (Tim) of Oak Ridge, James Clifton "Cliff" Edwards, Jr., Michael Rodgers Limer (Gina) of Henderson and Barry Wade Limer (Dianne) of Bunn. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
