He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Davis Medlin and Joan Vaughn Pope; and his stepmother Elizabeth Hill Yates. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Neal Medlin; his children, Christian Elaine Medlin Wirtz, Charles Ryan Medlin and Brian Kristopher Neal; his grandchildren, Taylin, Gabriel, Nikola and Elliot; his brother Waylon Gene Medlin (Joanne); and his nephews, Brandon Medlin, Gene Medlin and Jason Medlin.
