He was predeceased by: his parents, Bud Ashby and Evelyn Tyson Tripp; his son Curtis Tripp; and his brothers, Kenneth Tripp, Jimmy Grimsley and Autry Tripp.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda McCabe Tripp; his children, Billy "Ashley" Tripp, Jr. (Kristiann), Caroline Tripp (Rickey Quinn) and Dustin Tripp (Amanda); and his siblings, Patsy Perry, Ricky Tripp (Theresa) and Roger Tripp. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
