She was predeceased by: her children, Edwin L. Bowen Jr., Betsy E. Bowen and Herbert C. Bowen. She is survived by: her children, Barbara L. Nelson, Wesley D. Bowen, Patrick S. Bowen and Joy L. Bowen; and her brother Robert Slaughter. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
