He is survived by: his wife Linda Winecoff Davis; his sons, James Edward Haynes Jr. (Sherri) of Indian Trail, NC and Theodore "Teddy" Davis IV of Weddington, NC; his grandchildren, Erica Southard (Danny) of Indian Trail, NC, Brandi Joy (Todd) of Waxhaw, NC, Jason Efird (Carla) of Monroe, NC, James "Eddie" Edward Haynes III of Indian Trail, NC and Taylor Lynne Haynes (Daniel) of Indian Trail, NC; his great grandchildren, Presley, Harper, Paxton, Bryson and Beckett; and his siblings, Lynne Peters of Cary, NC and Dennis Davis of Cary, NC..
Due to the current pandemic and social distancing mandates, a private graveside service will be held Thursday, April 23, 2020 at 1:30pm at Sunset Memory Gardens, Charlotte, North Carolina.
