She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Charlie, Margaret Mathews, Vernie and Katherine Fossett. She is survived by: her parents, Rev. Charles H. Mathews and Verna Kay Fossett Mathews; her brothers, Ken (Erica) and Brian (Diona); and her nieces and nephews, Savannah, Milea (Blake), Naysa, Isaac, Augustine, Dominic, Kenny, Clare, Estelle, Lucia, Thomas and Therese Melody.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Weddington Methodist Church (13901 Providence Rd, Weddington, NC 28104). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
