He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his daughters, Stephanie Walters and Heather Hiner (Charles); his grandchildren, Madeleine, Charlie, Samuel and Jack Hiner; his sister Diane Myroniak (Robert); his brothers-in-law, Charles Dyess and David Dyess (Virginia); and his nieces, Sandra Apidone (late Thomas), Cheryl Gibson (Steve), Donna May (Fred), Kristin Houwing (Alex) and Lisa Young (Daniel). He is also survived by many cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and devoted friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Al's name to either Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.com) or Tunnel to Towers Foundation (t2t.org).
