Ruth Buchanan Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Buchanan of Webster, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 13, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Ruth farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Ruth is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Tyler Buchanan and Rhoda Green Buchanan; and her sisters, Wilma Austin and Ellen Dillard. She is survived by: her siblings, Grace Dettmar and William Buchanan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Appalachian Funeral Services (165 Skyland Dr, Sylva, NC 28779). A burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Webster Cemetery Cemetery.
