He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hopkins Shuford; his son Brad Shuford (Collin); his grandson Drew Shuford; his sister Suzanne Lawless of Tennessee; his brother-in-law Earl Savage of Delaware; his niece Amy Lawless (Brian Herndon); and his nephews, Mike Lawless and Bryan Savage (Jennifer).
A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery (962 Old US Hwy 70, Black Mountain, NC 28711).
