He was predeceased by: his parent Orla Mae Buckner Ball; his brothers, Quinton, Lawrence, Clarence and Forrest; and his grandson Matthew Ball.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Shook Ball; his children, Lisa Miranda (Facundo) of Marietta, GA and Marty Ball (Jessica) of Weaverville, NC; his grandchildren, Cody, Zach, Eli, Chloe Ball of Weaverville, NC, Laura Bell (Anthony) of Douglasville, GA and James Saunooke of Marietta, GA; and his great grandchildren, Savannah, Cameron, Trey and Brayden Bell of Douglasville, GA..
