He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Buckner and Eupha Burrell Buckner; his wives, Gladys Laudon Buckner and Thadres Ensley Buckner; his son Jason Laudon Buckner; and his siblings, Evelyn Herron, Doris Robinson, Frances Whitt, Helen Anders, Marie Anders, Barbara Bradley, Mary June Hunter, Donald Buckner and Tommy Buckner.
He is survived by: his daughter Karen; his son-in-law Edward Garvin of Liberty, SC; his grandson Christopher Garvin (Katelyn) of Liberty, SC; his great grandchild Maggie; and his sisters, Janice B. Trexler of Leicester and Linda B. Albin (Tommy) of Charlotte. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
