With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kate Marie Williams Metcalf of Weaverville, North Carolina, who passed away on February 7, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mercus Hoke and Letha Ballard Williams; her husbands, Henry Arrington and Woodrow Metcalf; her brothers, Fred, Jack, Homer and Fate Williams; and her son-in-law Sgt. Thomas C. Ray.
She is survived by: her children, David "Wahoo" Arrington, Linda Metcalf Ray and John Metcalf; her sister-in-law Doris Williams; her grandchildren, Sydney Ray, Kayla, Keith, Brianna and Tyler Metcalf; and her great grandchildren, Hunter, Jayden, Athena and Aurora. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
