He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Waller, Sr. and Inez Johnson Waller; his sister Nancy Waller Shannon (Bob); his son Jack Tomlinson; the mother of his children Patricia Brewer Tomlinson Waller; and his nephew Kevin Shannon.
He is survived by: his wife Suzie Tatem Waller; his daughters, Alice Waller (Fernando), Christie Heuerman (Whitney), Holly Tomlinson Scheve (Gary) and Sissy Tomlinson Hopson (Richard); his daughter-in-law Portia Tomlinson; his grandchildren, Julianna Olup (John), Emily Lord, Jim Lord (Shea), Oliver Watts, Ben Dannemiller, Luke Dannemiller, Olivia Dannemiller Wright (Ed), Holly Hopson, Ann Parr Scheve Waples, Ned Scheve, Matthew Tomlinson, Betsy Worthley (Chad) and Katie Tomlinson; his cousins, Pat Waller Curry, Alice Anderson Schneider, Jane Waller Cox (Toby), Betty Mason Parker (Andrew) and Donald Anderson; his niece Karen Shannon; and his nephew Brian Shannon (Susan). He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Bright Hope Laurel United Methodist Church (271 Laurel Valley Rd, Mars Hill, NC 28754).
