We are sad to announce that on January 23, 2023, at the age of 81, Jimmie D. Evans (Weaverville, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Sallie Louise Evans; his wife Mary Jean Clark Evans; his father John Roy Evans; his stepmother Martha Evans; and his siblings, Henry Evans and Peggy Edwards.
He is survived by: his children, Jimmie Evans (Patricia), Rhonda Herron (Roger) and Cathy Buckner (Alan); his grandchildren, Brandi Herron, Jeff Herron (Jessica), Amber Wheeler (David), Felicia Van Blarcum (Brad), Michael Buckner (Tiffany), Brody Buckner (Savannah), Tina Cochran (Michael), Westley Evans (Ashley) and Nick Evans (Callie); and his great grandchildren, Dante, Kaylee, Kaitlyn, Harper, Aspyn, Kyler, Harmony, Julianna, Oakley, Kinsley, Emmaline, Lilah, Liam, Cormac, Masin, Azia, Wyatt, Allyson, Callie and Gabe.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made instead to the Hope Chest for Women of Asheville in memory of Jimmie and Mary Evans.
