It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Gilbert Wilson (Weaverville, North Carolina), born in Madison, North Carolina, who passed away on July 30, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hezekiah Gudger Wilson and Minnie Bell Brown Wilson; his wife Lorraine; his daughter Marie Mackey; and his brother Herbert David Wilson.
He is survived by: his sister Mary Ann Long (Paul) of Winston-Salem; and his grandson Joseph Mackey.
