He is survived by: his wife Brenda Massey Cole; his son Paul Zumwalt (Kelly); his sister Tammy McGiffin McMahan; his stepmother Isabel Mackey Cole; his grandchildren, Ameron Zumwalt Fisher (Nate) and Joseph Zumwalt (Morgan); and his great grandchild Parker Rose Fisher.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the West Family Funeral Services (17 Merrimon Ave, Weaverville, NC 28787). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at the Clark's Chapel Cemetery (25 Clarks Chapel Church Rd, Weaverville, NC 28787).
