We are sad to announce that on October 8, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Doris Sorrells of Weaverville, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Franklin Sorrells, Sr. and Margaret Davidson Sorrells; and her siblings, Dorothy Sorrells Joyner (Joe Joyner), Benjamin "Franklin" Sorrells Jr. and John A. Sorrells (Billie Sorrells).

She is survived by: her nephews, Ben Joyner (Anna Joyner) and Alan Joyner (Mary Nesbitt); her niece Suzanne Fortune (Chris Fortune); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Lacy Joyner (Kat Hundertmark), Ben L. Joyner, Christina Joyner (Dustin Gunther), Andrea Joyner Mills (Andy Mills), Aaron Fortune (Katrina Fortune) and Anna Fortune Malone (Will Malone); and also, Kaysen Buchanan, Gabe Mills, Louis Hundertmark, Axel Joyner, Ezra Mills, Mia Malone, Zoe Fortune and Ann Joyner. She is also survived by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Weaverville United Methodist Church, PO Box 37, Weaverville, NC 28787.
