He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Franklin Glenn and Thelma Ledford Hawkins; his wife Pat Merrill Hawkins; his daughter Heather Weaver (Matthew); his grandsons, Charlie, Will and Ben; and his sisters, Melba Hawkins, Wanda Ingle-Stevens and Glenda Buckner (Jerry).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the West Funeral Home (17 Merrimon Ave, Weaverville, NC 28787). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Antioch Baptist Church (9 Antioch Church Rd, Weaverville, NC 28787).
