She was predeceased by: her parents, John Whitt and Lucitta Arrington Whitt; her husband Billy Emory; her sons, Boyd Emory and Patrick Emory; her son-in-law Robin Morris; her grandson Christopher; and her siblings, Dessie Higgins, Elma Lou Walker, Melda Linda Shirlen, Donald Whitt, Josephus Whitt, Kelly M. Whitt and Rubin Whitt.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Morris, Steve Emory (Judy) and Warren Emory; her sister Johnnie Shook; her grandchildren, Brian, Natalie, Kellie and Melody; and her great grandchildren, Trenton, Cameron, Devon, Kailey, Hudson, Jase, Jackson, Sabrina and Nathaniel.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service (7626 NC-213, Mars Hill, NC 28754). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at the Ivy Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
