He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Sutton and Florence Moody Sutton; and his siblings, Conley, Marvin, Ed Sutton and Willie Mae Joyner.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Caldwell Sutton of Maggie Valley; his daughters, Rita Sutton of Maggie Valley and Tammy Sutton (Dale Rowden) of Maggie Valley; his sister-in-law Jean Sutton of Maggie Valley; and his granddaughter Whitney Pritchard. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
