He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Obed Owen and Ora Faye McCall Owen of Balsam Grove; his wife Luella Owen; his children, Beverly Owen, Janice Stevenson (Eddie) of Waynesville and Troy Owen of Brevard; his stepdaughter Vicky Shelton of Hiawassee, GA; his siblings, Helen Aiken (Paul) of Charlotte, Nancy Anders (Mitchell) of Balsam Grove, Marion Owen (Lucy) of Kentucky, Joseph Mack Owen (Gladys) and Ted Owen (Diane) of Brevard; his grandchildren, Derek Owen, Brian and Tara Stevenson of Waynesville; and his great grandchildren, Zavith and Zaiden Owen of Waynesville.
