He was predeceased by: his wife Johnnie Warren Pitts; and his siblings, Robert "Bob" Pitts, Ruth Collette, Flora Burress and Edna Holcombe.
He is survived by: his son Gerald Pitts (Vivian); his grandchildren, Patrick Pitts (Alina) and Jennifer Nichols (Jody); and his great grandchildren, Noah Pitts, Brooklyn and Brynlee Nichols.
