He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Freeman and Martha Quilliams Freeman; his wife Betty Jo Grant Freeman; his son William Michael Freeman; and his siblings, Jack, Johnny Freeman, Hilda Jennings and Thomasine Dillard.
He is survived by: his children, Gwen Freeman Nicholson of Webster and Timothy "Tim" Grant Freeman of Waynesville; his brother Jimmy Freeman of Arizona; his granddaughter Gwendolyn Luann Hughes; his great grandchild Samantha Leigh Mann; and his great great grandchildren, Jordin, Emily and Kaydence.
