With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Daniel Jessup (Waynesville, North Carolina), who passed away on May 8, 2018 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Dawson Jessup and Bessie Myrtle Dean; and his siblings, Bascom, Burton, Charles, Hugh, Robert, Steve, William, Edith J. Langley, Evelyn J. Brown and Mabel J. Douglas.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia M. Jessup (Mathews); his former wife Ruth Smith Jarvis; his stepchildren, Glennda D. Cleland (Michael) and David C. Duncan (Paula); his grandchildren, Trisha Pancio Mead, Ileah Pancio Bodily, Christy Geiger Cocup, Megan Smith, Lori Niles, Amy Olson, David Cleland, Matthew Cleland, Andrew Cleland, Zachary Cleland, Mark Duncan and Matthew Duncan; and also, Dolores Jessup and Mary Frances "Francy" Geiger. He is also survived by 11 great granddaughters; 7 great grandsons; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
