It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Catherine Francis (Waynesville, North Carolina), who passed away on October 19, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Carr James and Connie Burnette James; her siblings, Walter, Ed James, Margaret James Boone and Linda James Brown; and her husband Robert Henry Francis of Haywood County.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Francis Collins (Michael Collins), William Robert Francis, Jay Pinkney Francis (Allison Howey Francis), James Henry Francis (Debra Swan Francis) and John Carr Francis (Susan McCracken Francis); and her sister Eleanor James Justice. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Encouraging Word Baptist Church Building Fund at PO Box 797, Waynesville, NC 28786, and also to Francis Cove Methodist Church at PO Box 843, Waynesville, NC 28786.
