It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Valerie Shelton Eavenson Holloway (Waynesville, North Carolina), who passed away on December 21, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Spurgeon Shelton and Minnie Hendricks Shelton; her husband Reverend Virgil Holloway; her children, Garry, Barry Eavenson and Joy Eavenson; her siblings, Jessie Mae Brown, Clarence Shelton, Christine Brown, Irene Howell and Kenneth Shelton; and her grandsons, Ricky Eavenson, Alan Walker and Isaiah Messer.
She is survived by: her children, Patsy Plemmons (Larry), Peggy Messer (Manson), Tommy Eavenson and Scotty Eavenson (Kathy); and her daughters-in-law, Peggy Caldwell Eavenson and Ailene Fortner Eavenson. She is also survived by 48 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
