He was predeceased by: his father Grady Robertson; his siblings, Reverend William Pender Robertson, Kermit Lee Robertson, Thomas Max Robertson and Kathleen Mary Robertson Cagle; and his brother-in-law Bryson Cagle.

He is survived by: his wife Ruby Lee Hardin Robertson of Andrews, NC; his children, James Grady Robertson, Steven Robertson (Sonia), Timothy Robertson and Susan Robertson Buchanan (Donnie); his grandchildren, Eric Robertson, Brian Robertson, Kate Adams, Connor Buchanan and Ellis Buchanan; and his great grandchildren, Sarah Robertson and Gaia Robertson.
