He was predeceased by: his wife Beula Franklin Rose; his siblings, Charlie Rose, Lawrence Rose, Macie Birch and Lizzie Burgess; and his grandchildren, Tammy Suanne Rose and David Matthew Rose.
He is survived by: his children, Fred Rose, Eddie Rose (Sherri), Teddy Rose (Margaret), Judith Conner (Donald) and Sue Hill (Earl); and his siblings, Arthur Rose, Maxine Jenkins, Pearl Franklin and Lois Hendrix. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
