She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Caldwell and Pauline Caldwell; her husband Bruce Sorrells; her children, Joe, Fornice Sorrells and Wilma Barnes; her brothers, Roger and Bill Caldwell; and her brother-in-law Hobert Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Sorrells (Joanne) and Vivian Nelson (Robert); her grandchildren, Wendy, Margaret, Jimmy, Courtney, Trista and Jennifer; and her siblings, Zenia Brown, Jean Lanning (Albert) and Ernest Caldwell (Janice). She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sulphur Springs Freewill Baptist Church (1273 Sulphur Springs Rd, Waynesville, NC 28786).
