It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mildred Keener (Waynesville, North Carolina), born in Madison, North Carolina, who passed away on August 8, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Strickland and Lacy Packett Strickland; her husband Ralph Keener; and her son Rev. Freddy Keener. She is survived by: her children, Wanda "Jane" Keener, Brenda Keener Jones (Blaine), Bobby Ralph Keener and Randy Eugene Keener; and her grandchildren, Crockett Jones, Willie Jones, Bryan Keener, Christina Silvers, Max Keener and Callie Keener. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
