It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Mease Queen (Waynesville, North Carolina), who passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Mease and Tulen Henson Mease; her husband D. B. Queen; and her sisters, Louise M. Reno and Frankie Ruth M. Queen.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Q. Loftis and Richard S. Queen (Beth); her grandchildren, Scott Loftis (Laura), Sherry Loftis-Hall (Mike), Drew Queen (Jessica) and Brody Queen (Lyndsay); and her great grandchildren, Evan Loftis, Eric Loftis, Carter Hall, Izzy Queen, Marley Queen, Zeik Queen, Hazel and Judah Litty. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
