She was predeceased by: her parent Vinson Davis; her husband James A. Tompkins; her daughter Carol Ziglar; and her grandson Eric Morrow. She is survived by: her parent Ethel James Davis; her daughters, Sharon Cooper (Jim) of Clyde, Barbara Meliski (Buck) of Chimney Rock and Susan Baker (Brad) of Roseland; her brother Bill Davis of Clyde; and her grandsons, Mark Meliski and Anthony Cooper. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
