She was predeceased by: her parents, Merritt Parton and Hattie Tucker Parton; her husband John Messer; and her siblings, Edith Brown, Blanche Caldwell, Mary Bradley, Betty King, Troy, Tucker, Merritt, Jr., Fred and Frank Parton.
She is survived by: her son Terry Messer (Melody); her sister Margaret James (Phil); and her grandchildren, Laura Winters (Alan), Lindsey Shelton (Brad) and Joshua Messer (Jessica). She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Farris Road, Greenville, SC 29605 in memory of Louise Messer.
