He was predeceased by: his parents, Druary Arthur and Nola Byrd Allen; and his siblings, Lee, Oliver Allen and Anna Jean Duvall.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Hope Bryson Allen; and his daughters, Dawn and Melba Allen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
