It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Gay Mathews (Waynesville, North Carolina), who passed away on February 24, 2018, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Alvin "Shorty" Mathews; her parents, Will Russell and Jane Russell; and her siblings, Maxine Benge, Rob, Bud and Jack Russell.
She is survived by: her children, Dianne Gray (Danny) of Waynesville, Kay Justice (John) of Leicester and Billy Wayne Mathews (Melissa) of Danielsville.
